A Girl Without a Dad Becomes a Princess to a King!

See this content in the original post

Once upon a time there was a little girl who came from a broken family and as a result grew up without a dad. This little girl grew up in the all too common broken home which unfortunately is the norm nowadays.

Broken homes means broken people and for her it also meant a broken heart. There was a void in her life that never was filled no matter where she looked or how hard she tried to fill it.

She’d notice other girls who had their dad and it would make her heart ache even more. So many times the pain in her heart brought tears streaming down her face as she would hold her pillow for comfort. Fear and worry made their ugly way into her life because her protector and provider wasn’t there for her. She felt abandoned, empty and unloved.

Her teenage years finally came. She searched for the "perfect guy" who would finally fill her emptiness. She dreamed that when she found him, this ONE guy her heart desired would declare she was lovelier than all others, he would take her to see the world and some nights they would dance tenderly close wrapped in each others arms. This would be the guy who would treat her like the princess she always wanted to be.

It’s every girl’s dream to be a princess rescued by the handsome and brave prince, right? Sure, it is! And that's ok. Every girl should have her prince.

Unfortunately, while looking for that love in her life, she fell into the arms of many disappointing relationships. She was VERY unhappy. She felt unloved and also unlovely time and time again. Of course she did, why wouldn’t she? There was no dad in her life to tell her that she was beautiful and deeply loved as she was growing up.  And now, a little older, there was still no guy who truly cared about her. She succumbed to the fact that this was just the way life was going to be. She had just about given up.

THEN life took a turn. She finally met the Prince her heart had always longed for and his dad was a King like no other!

This Prince was not like all the other guys who only thought about themselves. No way! He was continually serving her out of pure joy and He continually let her know how much he cared for and loved her. She was HIS treasure and he had searched the world over for her. Unconditionally and wholeheartedly he wanted to express his amazing undconditional love to her. He fought many fierce battles even to the point of death in order to come to her rescue. His sacrifice was great but she was worth every drop of blood he gave in battle.

Her search had ended. Her void and emptiness would finally be filled. He told her how everything in the kingdom now also belonged to her and that he would NEVER leave, hurt or betray her. He was a man of his word and He loved her more than life itself. He promised that she would never feel unloved or empty again. He kept his promise.

The unlovely became loved. The transformation was incredible! Her heart was full. Her prince had finally come. He sacrificially gave himself and all that he had to her, his beloved.

She bloomed into the princess she was always born to be. It was the unconditional love of the prince, who gave his life, that changed her from the very depths of despair into the much loved princess she now had become.

They really did live happily ever after!! (Smile and sigh here.)

*****************************************************************************************************************************

True story.  It’s about my life. I’m that girl. The King is my Heavenly Father. Jesus is the Prince who rescued me from the darkness, set me free and gave His very life for me. He calls me His beloved, His radiant treasure. When this current life is over, I am confident and secure that I will live happily ever after with Him, the one who loved me enough to shed his blood and die for me.

For now, on this side of eternity, He’s always with me declaring His audacious love over me day in and day out. He is my peace, my joy and oh so much more! There is nothing this world has to offer that will ever compare.

His love is a free gift, I don’t have to do anything to earn this love of His. He is love. He has won my heart and I want to live my life for Him.

YOU beautiful one can be secure in His love too. You are His Beloved, His radiant treasure. Every drop of blood he spilled was for you as well. He loves you so much, He sacrificed and gave His very life for you.

I don't know what you have been through or what you're going through now. Maybe, like me, you didn't have a dad growing up or maybe you did but he didn't really care for you like he should have.  Maybe you had the best dad ever and now he is on the other side of eternity. The thing is, there is no one who can ever truly fill the place in your heart that is reserved for the King of Kings. There is no one who will ever love you wholly, completely and unconditionally like He will. He took every wrong thing we ever did (and ever will do) upon Himself on the cross, and in return has presented us with a new life of amazing love. His love. It’s unconditional and never ending.

My hope is that you will REALLY know in your heart of hearts the love that the King has for you. He loves you with an everlasting love. There is no earthly dad, boyfriend or spouse who can love you like you were meant to be loved. So, don't look to a man, look to your Jesus who is the King of all Kings.

A healthy soul comes from a receptive heart that not only "knows" but also receives this lavish love.

Princess, keep your eyes on your King.  LIVE LOVED because you most definitely are!! Receive these words for you and personalize the scriptures below daily until it penetrates your very soul and becomes a part of you. THIS is your true identity.

  • "You're clothed with strength and dignity, you can laugh without fear of the future." Prov 31:25

  • "You are beautiful for you are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14

  • "Be strong. Be brave. Be fearless. You are never alone." Joshua 1:9

  • "The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still." Exodus 14:14

  • "You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way." Song of Solomon 4:7

  • "I have loved you with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself." Jeremiah 31:3

What was your life like growing up with or without a dad? Do you find it easy accepting the King’s amazing love that He has for you or do you struggle in this area?

Healthy hugs and blessings,
