A Girl Without a Dad Becomes a Princess to a King!

Once upon a time there was a little girl who came from a broken family and as a result grew up without a dad. This little girl grew up in the all too common broken home.  Broken home means broken people and for her also a broken heart. There was a void that never was filled no matter where she looked or how hard she tried to fill it.

She’d notice other girls who had their dad and it would make her heart ache more. So many times, the pain in her heart brought tears streaming down her face as she held her pillow sobbing. Fear and worry made their ugly way into her life because her protector and provider wasn’t there for her.

Her teenage years finally came. She searched for the "perfect guy" who would finally fill her emptiness. The ONE guy her heart desired would declare she was lovelier than all others, take her to see the world and dance with her closely. You know, the guy who would treat her like the princess that she had always wanted.  It’s every girl’s dream to be a princess who is rescued by the handsome and brave prince, right? Sure, it is! And that's ok.

Unfortunately, while looking for that love in her life, she fell into the arms of many disappointing relationships. She was VERY unhappy because she felt unloved and unlovely time and time again. Why wouldn’t she? There was no dad in her life to tell her that she was beautiful and loved as she was growing up.  There was still no guy who truly cared about her. She succumbed to the fact that this was just the way life was going to be. She had just about given up.

THEN life took a turn. She finally met the prince her heart had always longed for and his dad was a King like no other!

This prince was not like all the other guys who only thought about themselves. No way! He was continually serving her and letting her know how much he cared and loved her. Unconditionally and wholeheartedly he wanted to express his amazing love to her. He fought many fierce battles even to the point of death in order to come to her rescue. Her search had ended. Her void and emptiness would finally be filled. He told her how everything in the kingdom now also belonged to her and that he would NEVER leave, hurt or betray her. He was a man of his word. She would never feel unloved or empty again as long as she lived.

The unlovely became loved. The transformation was incredible! Her heart was full. Her prince had finally come. He sacrificially gave himself and all that he had to her, his beloved.

She bloomed into the princess she was always born to be. It was the unconditional love of the prince, who gave his life, that changed her from the very depths of despair into the princess she now had become.

They really did live happily ever after!!!

True story.  It’s about me. The King is my Heavenly Father. Jesus is the Prince who rescued me from the darkness, set me free and gave His very life for me. When this current life is over, I am confident and secure that I WILL live happily ever after with Him the one who loved me enough to die for me.

You can be secure in His love too. I don't know what you have been through or what you're going through now. Maybe, like me, you didn't have a dad growing up, maybe you did but he didn't really care for you like he should have.  Maybe you had the best dad ever and he is now on the other side of eternity. The thing is, there is no one who can ever truly fill the place in your heart that is reserved for the King of Kings. There is no one who will ever love you wholly, completely and unconditionally like Him. He took every wrong thing we ever did (and ever will do) upon Himself on the cross, and in return has presented us with a new life of amazing love. His love.

My hope is that you will REALLY know in your heart of hearts the love that the King has for you. He loves you with an everlasting love. There is no earthly dad, boyfriend or spouse who can love you like you were meant to be loved. So don't look to a man, look to your King.

A healthy soul comes from a receptive heart that not only "knows" but also receives this lavish love.

Princess, keep your eyes on your King.  LIVE LOVED because you are!!
